Speaker 1:

Welcome back to the show. We are covering a very deep topic for the next two episodes, this one we are calling the world as your reflection, and the intention of this episode is again to get you to see the patterns in your life so you can learn those lessons. If you keep having the same type of people or the same experience showing up over and over and over again, there might be something you need to learn that might be there is for sure, for sure.

Speaker 1:

And Dr McCall. He was telling me. He's like you know, these lessons come up and sometimes you're like no, I'm not ready for that one. And the universe is like okay, and then they come.

Speaker 1:

The universe comes back with it a couple years later, or a month later, or whatever. Yes, it's going to come back until you learn it and move on. You know you, you learn the lessons. But this is why I want to do this episode, because this is such a challenge. It's such a challenge Like for me. I know the patterns, I already see them. Yeah, it's, how do you learn the lesson is the problem.

Speaker 2:

I mean, the most basic point is change is hard and it requires change to change your environment.

Speaker 1:

Like it's hard. It is hard and we did. I listened to the other episodes we did on this, so we did episodes. Episode six make your future self proud to see your patterns and learn the lessons. That was a powerful one about patterns, so listen to that one. It's some of the foundational work we're not going to cover on what we did the first season. And then episode 11, let that shit go. It's all about your limiting beliefs that are holding you back. So those two episodes, super powerful. Go listen to those if you have not. This is kind of in addition to, and also a year later, where we add on this journey.

Speaker 2:

For sure yeah.

Speaker 1:

Because the patterns continue. Friends, I've been embarrassed already, I know, but why we wanted to do? You know, I love a good metaphor and analogy, so we're using the analogy of a mirror. The world is like the world you're experiencing. It's a mirror, is reflecting back to you how you are. Yes, and this goes with Wayne Dyer's quote that we don't manifest what we want. We manifest what we are. Yes, so your world is manifesting around you. Everything around you is manifesting. It's a reflection of your thoughts, your beliefs, your energy. Yes, and I hope you can believe that, because this is like it, this is it.

Speaker 2:

Yeah, this is where the real internal work needs to happen. It does Because, yeah, you can say you want these things, but if you believe different or you believe you are worth different, or you really do see yourself not in that deserving light you are not going to manifest it. Yes, exactly, it's just plain and simple.

Speaker 1:

Plain and simple. So the world around you is reflecting back the lessons and opportunities for growth in your life. Yeah, Like in. To summarize it yeah, that is your opportunity for growth and we're all here to grow and develop and live our journey and live our purpose. But in that we are here to you know better, ourselves, better the world.

Speaker 1:

Yeah. So I liked the analogy of the mirror because, as I was thinking about it, it also reflects how conscious you are. And so, hear me out, the clearer you see the reflection, the more conscious of where you are. So imagine that you all have a fun house mirror. Okay, some of us are living with a fun house the way like, and think of it a little bit, body dysmorphia. Yep, when I look in the mirror and I see the reflection back, that is not at all what is reality and I'm like seeing this, something that's projecting from a thought a belief.

Speaker 1:

You know, something that was conditioned on to me.

Speaker 2:

Yes, that is a fun house mirror.

Speaker 1:

I am not looking at a clear reflection of myself, I'm looking at a hidden one, yes, so what is your mirror? The more distorted the mirror, the more closed and conditioned you are.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So that is something I really wanted to bring into this. What kind of mirror are you looking through, seriously? Is it foggy? Does it have, you know, water splatters on it?

Speaker 2:

and it's like greasy.

Speaker 1:

What is your mirror? Yeah, you really need step number one. Is the reflection you're looking at of your life clear, yeah, or is it foggy, is it?

Speaker 2:

distorted. I need to clean my mirror.

Speaker 1:

I think I need to. We all do need to clean our mirrors. I don't know anybody whose mirror is like completely, you know, not personally anyway, yes, yeah, exactly, it's a real deal. Yeah, so clean your mirror. Yeah, this episode is really about cleaning your mirror and becoming aware that you're looking at a mirror, that you're looking at a reflection of who you are and what you think and how you believe things, and all that.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So I wanted to talk about three principles in awareness, because this can mindfuck anyone, for sure this whole principle.

Speaker 1:

For sure and we talked a lot about it last season and we talked about awareness is key. Becoming aware is literally the quickest path to inner peace, enlightenment, like manifestation, all of those things. Becoming aware of what you're thinking in the moment, like, oh wow, I'm having that thought again. That's consciousness, my friends. Yeah, it maybe sounds like a scientific term. That means like you're like this spiritual being floating on a cloud and the yoga pose. No Right, yeah, consciousness is being aware. So it's is consciousness, is awareness, and it's living an intentional, present and meaningful life Focused on meaning right, yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, so number one conscious. You want to be a conscious bad bitch? Yes, subconscious this is where it gets a little, a little crazy. This subconscious literally means just under sub, so it's just under your awareness. Subconscious is when you're living a reactive and mindless life.

Speaker 1:

You're sort of going through life, reacting to things, reacting to your environment. You also have a bit of conditioned thinking. Not a bit, probably a lot. Yeah, you do things, you know there's still a mind body connection and subconscious. It's not completely shut off. Yeah, you're still. You're doing things for a purpose that you don't really maybe connect, but it's in there. Yeah, suppressed versus repressed. Yes, yes, yes. And then unconscious is the absence of awareness. So when you're unconscious, moving through life, disconnected and on autopilot, this is when you arrive at your destination, your car, and you're like how did I get here?

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

You spent that whole time while you're driving unconscious. Yes, seriously, not like physically, maybe, but mentally. Yeah, you're you, just you're autopilot.

Speaker 1:

You're just driving the car, you're taking the turns, your body knows which way to go, your mind, so it just kind of like closes down. Yes, that's also repressed. So when we think of unconscious it can be, we can repress a lot of things deep down in the depths from trauma and all that stuff, with kids For sure. Right, yeah, yeah. So knowing those three terms are super important for your mirror, because the consciousness is seeing the reflection as it is. It's being aware of the reflection. Yeah, like even knowing that the world is a reflection of who you are and your thoughts, and all that is consciousness. Yeah, subconscious is maybe those shitty thoughts you have about yourself as you're looking at the reflection. And then the unconscious is really the stuff you can't see in the reflection, but they're impacting what you're seeing the light in the room, you know all of those things that are not necessarily in the reflection.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, I think the reason I really want to stress this is so important to get conscious, get aware, understand your thoughts, be able to catch yourself in the moment. Yes, this is how you're going to recognize your patterns.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, yeah, you cannot recognize your patterns without conscious awareness.

Speaker 2:

You cannot.

Speaker 1:

So this is setting us up for the activity we want to do in part two of this episode, where you're going to take yourself through a little activity that I kind of created, based on helping you find your patterns. Man Right, I was like how can you, if you're somebody who's like completely unaware, unconscious or unaware of your patterns, what's the first step? And for me it's the phrase I always, because a lot of times in our lives you're saying I always do this. Yeah, I always do that. I always meet people who are this. I always date guys like this. I always amount of money.

Speaker 1:

I'm always so, while, while it's important, the stories you're telling yourself, which we touched on the first episode, in episode six, the story you're telling yourself is also creating, manifesting your life. But this is a time where we're going to put that away. We're going to tuck that away. You're putting on your energetic condom, as Roxy calls it, and you're going to hear the story you're telling yeah, so you're going to journal on I always yes, and you cannot do not overthink it, you have to go first. Everything in your mind, like, whatever it is.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

So I always, you know, I always have shitty people who make me feel bad about myself. I always, you know, meet guys that are this or whatever. I always have the worst boss yeah, I always have the worst boss. I always have the worst coach. I always, you know you can't overthink it, yeah, and then, if you can't dig this out of yourself, you need to ask the people in your life.

Speaker 2:

What am I always?

Speaker 1:

complaining about.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

What do you see? What patterns do you see in my life? Because I can see the patterns in people's life very clearly. So I assume everyone's loved ones can, friends and family. So this is the story you're telling yourself and that's why it's important you don't overthink it. It's those things. So once you identify those things, you then can sort of group them, group them into.

Speaker 1:

You might find that you have a lot of relationship patterns, right, if all your things are about people and how they treat you and how they show up. You might have a lot of career things. You might have repeated challenges, something that you've kind of overcome over and over and over again in your life. You know, a pattern for me is whenever something gets not challenging, but whenever I kind of just over something, I just run away, like I move, I leave a lot of ex-boyfriends in the dust. You know what I'm saying. And then you might have some health and wellness themes. So what's your theme? You got to find the themes financial, and so this is step one on the journey. You really have to become aware of the patterns. And you got them, you have them. What's?

Speaker 2:

your thoughts. I mean, none of my thoughts are super positive, right this second. I just want to like preface that. But yeah, it's being. I think it's taking ownership too of those thoughts a little bit and going like these things aren't happening to me.

Speaker 2:

I am creating it, you know. So when I'm always late to work, right, and then in reality, I guess I'm not always late to work, but I'm always rushing I'm always like that's part of my own I don't know my own reflection that says you don't even want to start your day. And why is that? Do you know what I'm saying?

Speaker 2:

Like I feel like there's the underground to like the surface issue you know, or falling back into patterns, because it's like I've been, oh, I recognize this and I kind of got past it and moved my way out of feeling like I'm always broke, I'm always spending money, I'm always doing this or I'm always whatever, and then kind of getting out of it and then thinking like great, like goal achieved, and letting it slip.

Speaker 2:

And then you sort of start to like backslide into these old patterns and these old ways, and when you let that shit slide instead of standing up for yourself and saying this is not what I want.

Speaker 1:

Yeah.

Speaker 2:

This is not the relationship I want. This is not the financial piece that I want. This is not the you know, internal piece that I want. When you're not honest with yourself and you're not saying those things to the people around you, just letting that shit slide, it's just going to crumble on top of you and then you're buried again. Yeah, it's hard to get out of.

Speaker 1:

It is.

Speaker 2:

It definitely is hard, but I think realizing that you create it and you are the reflection is the first step. Yes, it is for you, it is about you and the work has to be done by you.

Speaker 1:

Yes, and it's. You're just kind of mentioning it there. It's like it's for you. So the whole point is figuring out what it's for, what is its purpose in your life.

Speaker 2:

Yeah.

Speaker 1:

It's the same thing that keeps happening over and over again. What is that? How is that serving you? Right? It probably is serving a purpose for your sole expansion that you don't even realize, which is what we're going to talk about in the next exercise, because it's there to guide you and it sucks, it's shitty, and we're actually Right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right, right. In a couple of episodes. For now, we're doing a purpose episode which talk a lot about that, your purpose, and they call them quantum shifts, or those moments in your life where you've had an awakening. Yes, and usually awakening happens after something really shitty happens. Yeah, so the dark night of the soul is real, yes, and get aware of it.

Speaker 2:

Well and think about if you're one of those people that has a hard time believing that you deserve this beautiful life. Because if you, for whatever reason, don't feel like you deserve great things and then you have these sort of shitty thoughts and you see that reflection, you almost can you'll play into it and be like it's because I don't deserve this. So I'm going to intentionally choose to keep moving in this crappy behavior because it just is reaffirming that I don't deserve love or money or a great career or a great partner or whatever it is that you're hung up on. So I think there's some work to do there. First is to go like I am choosing these behaviors over and over and over again. Why and what needs to shift for me?

Speaker 2:

in order to choose something new yes, Choose something different yes you can.

Speaker 1:

Yeah, it's hard. I wish I could just like there's so many people I just want to shake, I know, I know and be like why, why do you keep doing this to yourself? I know, but I have those things too, that people probably want to shake me.

Speaker 2:

So I was going to say, I have plenty of things where I go like that's it, I'm doing it differently, and then 70% of the time I'm doing it differently and 30% of the time I'm going fuck. I'm not doing it differently. I'm doing the same old thing because it's so comfortable, because it's so easy to slip back into and just ignore the world around me. But it's just not healthy. Yes, it's not. It's not good, it's not right.

Speaker 1:

It's not. So if any of this resonates with you, you need to come back to part two and we're just going to leave you hanging. That's what we're going to do, because it's something to think about, but doing that first exercise again, I always do that first exercise thoroughly and start to map out your patterns and group them, and that's really your mission this week. See that, spend some time journaling and then come back to us for part two.

Speaker 2:

Well, and I think, even if you have all the, you're confident in your. I always talk to someone in your life that you trust, someone that will be empathetic. Don't go to somebody that's an asshole, just strike that. Go to someone you trust, go to a friend, go to your partner, go to whoever that is empathetic and say what are some patterns that you see me always doing, what are some things that you see me complaining about but not changing? What are those things? Again, someone you trust, someone who is going to be empathetic. Do not ask an asshole. Don't do that to yourself.

Speaker 2:

No, do not, but they may bring up something that you had not previously thought of. That could be really important for you.

Speaker 1:

Yes, yes, absolutely, and reflect on the mirror you're looking in.

Speaker 2:

Is it?

Speaker 1:

a fun house mirror. Is it a distorted reality? Yes, that's mental stuff, ladies. So check out the next episode. We're super excited and we'll help you through it. All right, thank you, yes, babe. Bye, bye.
